Parishes of Jersey Football Club was founded by ex Jersey captain James Scott to enable the Island’s senior men’s footballers to compete internationally. The club was accepted in to CONIFA on 10th September 2018. CONIFA is the Confederation of Independent Football Associations and is the football federation for all associations outside FIFA. It’s a global acting non-profit organisation that supports representatives of international football teams from nations, de-facto nations, regions, minority peoples and sports isolated territories. CONIFA was founded on the 7th of June 2013, and organised his first World Football Cup in June 2014 in Ostersund, Sweden. Parishes of Jersey FC plays international fixtures against other CONIFA members earning ranking points to enable it to qualify for CONIFA European and World Cups. Key members of Parishes of Jersey FC: James Scott - Manager - Scott is a PE teacher at Grainville School, who won 12 Muratti caps for Jersey between 2007-2017 and was captain of Jersey Scottish FC. The tenacious right back recently retired from playing senior football and this is his first managerial appointment. James Blower - President - Blower is the former managing director of Clydesdale Bank International, which operated in the Channel Islands, and director of football at the Guernsey Football Association. Blower was a key sponsor of Jersey Scottish during their domestic revival, which saw the club win a domestic quintuple in 2013 including being crowned CI Champions.
